I complety agree - his vocal work on those early albums were fanastic and he really coverd Dave live when he was to busy showboating. The album that Mike really stands out on bass wise to me is Fair Warning - but Ed never spoke too highly of him and said he didn't contribute much to the creation process. Ed wanted to replace him 3 different times throught the early 80s with Bill Sheenan; who ultimtiatly worked with Roth after he left VH. Mike seems like a great guy nevertheless and Dave did intaialy want him back in teh band but it was Wolf that inspired Ed to get back on track so, it is what it is. When I was at the Village off Ocean Blv. in Long Beach there was a signed pic of Mike at this hot sauce store, where his sauce was also sold. It was cool.
