Well darlin' you need to whisper in your ol' man's ear that an act of true love, for which you would be demonstratively grateful later tonight, would be for him to rush down to your local Indy record store to buy you a copy of 'Some Girls Deluxe' today. It is a two disc CD with twelve new old songs on the bonus second disc. Well worth the 20 bucks. Knowing you have a taste for country rock - I feel certain you will enjoy the 5 or so songs oozing that honey. The bonus disc has received very positive reviews here at Gasland, and more importantly - great reviews by me. ; ) Blues and straight rock are part of the mix as well.
You should consider this purchase of fine music a family emergency liken to buying a generator when the power goes out. The time is now. Now is when you must correct this hole in your music collection. Send him on a honey do now! You both will enjoy the results in your stereo when he returns later. You both can thank me later.
These new/old songs are previously unreleased outtakes from the Some Girls recording sessions which have been either simply cleaned up and released, or received new lyrics, new vocals, and new licks etc in 2011. Not unlike the way Tattoo You was put together in '81.
As an Exile girl you will want the Exile Deluxe with it's bonus songs as well. It came out in 2010 I believe. You may want to order that one here at Gasland to help the cause.
Remember, 'Some Girls Deluxe', is an emergency which must be addressed today! Listening to that bonus disc is a fine way to spend a Sunday afternoon. Strong enough to cure the seven year itch.
