I was stationed in England at the time...we had a unit trip planned for 3 months before the wall came down...we got to Berlin three days later.

I had the best time partying in the streets then...

Still have my chunks of the wall that I hammered right outside my friends apartment.

Showed them off in class all week, and watched the rise and fall of the Berlin Wall as well...the students' reaction to the bits of the wall was incredible...I just love when history becomes real to them.
