RE: july! (exile in NS how is it?) (nsc)

So interesting to hear about how variable the weather is!

In Maine we've had 25 days straight without sun. It's been in the 60s, and every day, all day, it rains, drizzles, and/or is foggy.

Usually this time of year it is the very essence of the ideal summer day. Blue sky, low humidity, a few blobby clouds, the drone of small prop planes dragging banners now and again.

Yesterday, July 1, had lunch with friends outside huddled up in fleece and foul weather gear -- 62o. We're a little torn and frayed up here -- frizzled hair, over-moist skin, pale.

Summer of 1982 on Martha's Vineyard was close to this but not nearly as bad.

I'm wondering whether it's like this in Nova Scotia, Exile in NS? or maybe even colder?

The positive part of this equation is it is SOOOO green! Outrageously so. And The green is set against the backdrop of grey and just pops, as do all colors. It's moody and cold -- and I cannot believe not ONE beach day yet -- but I'm ok with it. Need some summer too, but not joining my compatriots in being pissed off about it.
