To all my faithful weekly poll voters: I hate to have to write this, but while I stated last week that I would try to run one last week of the Weekly Stones and Beatles Polls, and even bring back the closed Rock Poll for one last round of voting, I’m sorry, but it isn’t gonna happen.

I planned for it to take place, even got questions set up for all 3 polls. That wasn’t easy for the Rock Poll, since I never realized how many great questions we never got to vote on, and it was hard to choose just one question out of that bunch. But when yesterday came around to build the polls, I was having a bad day, even my oxygen concentrator wasn’t doing its job. By nightfall, I decided I would just run a finial Stones Poll, but by this morning, I realized I just can’t do it anymore, the drive to deal with the polls’ broken admin is no longer in me. Most of you have no idea just how much work each day goes into running this old and outdated poll program, it’s like a fulltime job dealing with the damaged database, so in a nutshell, I can’t get myself to do it no more, even for one last week. Sorry, I really wanted to see the polls go out with a big bang, but they instead will go out with a whimper. But this isn’t the last Poll Post. I’m gonna post 2 poll wrap-up Poll Posts, one for the Weekly Polls, then one for the Ongoing Polls. I started to write up the weekly poll’s wrap-up this afternoon, so it will be posted here - I’m hoping sometime tomorrow; so, if you’re a regular voter, you should find these wrap-ups of interest.

But I should at the least, write about the final results from our last 2 run polls, which were run 2 weeks ago.

First at the Stones poll, the questions asked this: Rate the Stones song “Doncha Bother Me”, from zero (lowest) to 10 (highest).

“Doncha Bother Me” did very well indeed, scoring a 10 with 36.6% of the first-place votes. Don’t take this wrong, but I never would have ended the Fab poll with a non-Lennon/McCartney song, had I known the poll run 2 weeks ago would be the last one that we would vote in. I loved George Harrison, and while in his later years in the band - his songs did grow better, big time…. But this one wasn’t one of them. Not that it was a bad song, but it was no 10 and I knew that when I decided to run this number. I knew it won’t see a 10, and while the Beatles saw a much higher percentage of their songs rate a ten than the Stones polling saw for their songs, only 9 Beatle songs out of the 111 rated, saw less than a 10. So, I hate to see this poll end with its last song just seeing an 8 for its top vote. Hell, I didn’t give it a 10 myself, either.

So that does it for the wrap-up for those 2 last run Weekly Polls on keno.org. I thank all of you who voted in these last 2 polls!... Plus again, I’ll have the first of the finial 2 updates posted tomorrow, or maybe on Tuesday. Then after that’s done, a recap of the On-Going Polls. But yes, regardless of what my host tells me about the server move for my domain, which might happen in a week or 2, or maybe still not until September, I’ve decided to end the On-Going Polls sooner than I first planned (as I noted a few days ago). They will end sometime this week (more than likely), followed by that last post on this very old board. But damn, what a turn out at these Ongoing polls last week – I never seen such a large turnout there before in a one-week period, as to the total number of voters who showed up! So at least we went out with a bang at those polls! But anyway, if you haven’t yet made your once-a-year vote there, time is running out fast, so please cast your vote in the next day or 2! After that, those polls will be closed for good, too.
