Gomper, there is talk today - and was years ago, that these 2 songs were stalker songs, especially the Police song. But both songs are the same in what they talk about, 2 guys who won't leave their former lovers who left them alone, and that's called starking... I also voted for the Police song, but I like the PC song, too. yet it ain't doing too well in the voting I see.
Next, welcome back manny, and while I agree that "City of New Orleans" is an excellent, and one of the best cover songs ever made, I went with the Byrds Dylan cover, "Mr Tambourine Man". I really dig that tune and how they took an at best average song (listen to Dylan's original, its just okay) and made it into a masterpiece! That great 12 string guitar (that Rodger played, err, well, he was still named "Jim" back then, is the main reason for the song's greatest!), IMO.
While I noted in the Poll Post that I like the Disco MY, I still like the shorter version more so, and that's what I voted for.
For the Beatles box set cover pic, I gave it a 7.
