WHat would they do if they were brought into the HOF? Have all 22 guys invited? I suspect there is precedent for such a thing with a band with tons of line up changes.
Yes there is, it has happened several times in the past actually, so this has nothing at all to do with them not being in there yet. The Hall doesn't always let everybody who was in a band that gets in, into the Hall with that band. Sometimes it just might be one member. Like with the Who when they got in, drummer Kenny Jones, who was in the band for several years, didn't get in with them. Then you got bands that did have many members in their band, that got in, yet several members didn't get in with the band - Fleetwood Mac would be an example of this. Most noted in that band was the snub of Bob Welsh - who lead what some called the middle period of the Mac, where they recorded hit songs (like "Sentimental Lady") and 3 LPs that turned into hits when he lead them. His keeping the Mac together was why the most famous lineup of Fleetwood Mac even happened, yet they didn't let him him. He should had gotten in and went to his grave badly hurt by all that. But about half of the former official Fleetwood Mac members never got in, besides Welsh.
Another band with a lot of members where only a few got in was of course Lynyrd Skynyrd. So there's no reason why any of this would or should be why the Guess Who never got in; they must have had a manager who Jann Wenner just didn't like, or something like that. It's known Wenner has done this in the past to a few artists, and on the other hand, it's also why crap bands have gotten in too - cause in those cases he liked their manager.
