He knows now, but I'll bet the moron didn't have a clue before hand. He just assumed all the teams were doing that and he loves to bash certain things and certain people. When Mr. King egotistic found out that less than 10 of the players wanted to show up and be there with him, that was why he canceled the event, since it would make him look bad, and he couldn't allow that of course, so he said what he did since he had to say something negative. The man never says anything positive unless he speaks about himself or his daughter.
