He always seemed to me to honesty believe in God, not to gather riches for himself, but for the charities he took in $$$ for, unlike Jim and Tammy Faye Baker, Oral Roberts, Robert Tilton and the likes. Billy was the real deal.
My grandmother was a devout woman, and she sent Tilton some $$$ for a "prayer cloth",which turned out to be a 1 inch piece of cloth. Supposedly he held this cloth while he prayed. I told my granny he probably walked on a 50 square foot cheap piece of junk cloth and said a micro prayer at best. He probably never even saw it. As I said, Billy seemed to be the real deal.
