I can recall when my parents, many years ago, like back when I was in my teens, were in Vegas and went to a show there one night and saw Marty Allen. They came back from that trip and his show was all my mother would talk about, saying how he put on the greatest live show that she ever had seen, and she had seen a lot of those kind of shows. Then again, my mom never gambled, so she never went to Vegas to do that, only went there to see the shows on the strip, and to also keep an eye out on dad, making sure he didn't have too much of a good time there.
