Jim Nabors was a huge favorite, terrific in the Andy Griffith show, and his own sitcom was very delightful and entertaining.
After that show ended its run, CBS gave him his own variety show, The Jim Nabors Hour, with two of his costar s from the sitcom, Frank Sutton & Ronnie Schell! That show lasted only two seasons. It would have had a longer run, but the three major networks, especially CBS, decided to make major changes to appeal to a younger demographic.
