I'm glad to see someone getting into groups like Love, Jaded. I was lucky enough to see them in 1967 on their only U.S. tour (so I've been told), and they put on an outstanding show. The audience wasn't ready for what they heard. Maybe 1/4 of us went for Love, but most of the crowd went for Paul Revere & the Raiders, who had a few good songs out. But it like the Monkees opening or Hendrix (which I saw Hendrix open for the Monkees in Des Moines back in 1968, I think. Just a bad mismatch. Arthur Lee played his ass off! Such a good show.
It's good to see you into the Doors and Simon and Garfunkel and the likes.
Have you hit Jethro Tull's earlier stuff? I loved them until "Thick As a Brick" came out. If you haven't gotten into them I would suggest (if not all of their first 4 lps, try Stand Up and Aqualung. You shouldn't be sorry.
Manny, good for you for John Barelycorn.
