Ed Sheeran

Does anyone here "get" modern music? Apparently he is phenomenally popular and breaking all kinds of records for singles and albums. It seems he is even saying he may give up music as he has already achieved everything in music (but clearly not longevity!)

Looks like an inoffensive nerdy kid to me. But I have hardly listened to his music. Just enough to know he has a strong voice and some nice melodies. The little known Steve Marriott would have blown him out of the water for attitude, singing, guitar playing and song writing IMO.
