RE: under rated harrison...nsc

My favorite-Harrison-songs-list starts first and foremost with Taxman. That it was the lead-off track on the Beatles best album says something, especially considering that in those days especially (but still to this very day) lead-off songs were highly considered and carefully chosen by all artists who used and believed in the album format. Taxman is political, sonically adventurous, clever with its words and chords, the very much the equal of what Lennon/McCartney were coming up with at the time.

After that, my list includes While My Guitar Gently Weeps, Old Brown Shoe, Long Long Long, Love You To, Think for Yourself, All Things Must Pass, and I'd Have You Anytime. While I like Something, Here Comes the Sun and a few other big ones as much as anyone, those are not as good when it comes down to it. Harrison was a real treasure, a singular guy, a musical and actual human bridge to so many ideas and people...just an amazing soul, one who definitely played a part in some of the best music you have ever heard, whether you know it or not, and whether it was technically under his own name or not.
