Gosh, reading all of this thread is making me miss my mom bad. She died back in 2014, and I was both broke and about to have surgery in the following week and couldn't get back to attend her services in NY... In fact she told me the last time I spoke to her if she didn't live out the month, for me not to attend and to take care of my health problem instead, since that was more important to her than me driving back or taking a train for 2 days to NY for a one day service. She passed the next day and no, I didn't get back there, and while everybody in the family understood why I couldn't get back, it still bugs me to this day that I didn't, even if mom told me to stay put and I wasn't in good health.
I wrote up her obituary for both here and for the newspapers, and remember all the kind words from you Gassers after I did, and yes, all of that will help you too It's just a shot away, it's good to have good friends, including the ones from an online community like Gasland!
