#1 ALBUMS mean nothing at this point - when all it takes for an album to be #1 is for it to sell 32,000 copies(:O), it is pretty much irrelevant at this point in time. It's pretty much the reason in my mind why Mick the Businessman is not that enthused about the whole idea of dragging the band in the studio, trying to write 10 or 12 songs, and then whole post production/promotion thing. Its a long process, and financial reward is just not there anymore.
Its a lot easier to pull stuff out of the vault, rehab it, and release THAT, and then do your tour based on that. Yes, Keith keeps saying we'll be going into the studio, balh, blah; but MICK really, as always, has the final say.
