RE: TSMR

TSMR is the Stones' most underrated album along with GSH. It's a shame that 47+ years later, people still think of it as some sort of poor man's "Sgt Peppers".

Some of the songs definitely sound un-Stonesy, but why can't a band get out of its comfort zone every once in a while? The Stones were experimenting in those days. The two previous albums, "Aftermath" and "Buttons" had a lot of different instruments, courtesy of Brian, producing sounds not normally heard in rock music. TSMR just took the experimentation one step further. It was 1967, a year when just about everyone seemed to be experimenting.

Although not my favourite Stones album, I truly like TSMR. I think I will spin it today. It's been a while.

The only song on it that I just cannot stand is "Sing This All Together (See What Happens)". I actually think that this is one of their worst ever.
