Yes, I gave out this news here weeks ago, as did others. It's old news now. He's not going to be playing and we've known this forever now. I don't report things here unless it cones from one of 2 people inside the band. Everybody who reads this joint, please think about it, my reports from inside the Stones are usually all correct in the end, no? Plus they have been correct for many years now, since there has been a Gasland... The only thing we got wrong this time around for this upcoming tour, was that we were told this would have more dates in the western US, and that clearly didn't happen. Still, it makes me wonder why, they were talking to people here in the west, for sure at Red Rocks, that fell through for stupid money reasons, and they were talking to people in Seattle, too, and that didn't happen either, as with 2 other places in California, and elsewhere out west.
No one really knows why he's not playing, so I wouldn't be so quick to jump on Jagger or Keith.
You are correct again, on the second part of your statement anyway, but on the first part, I noted here the other day (just before the month's board changeover) that yes, I was told by my closest insider and friend of not only mine, but friend of MT, why he isn't gonna to be playing, and like he does me often, he does tell me, but then he also tells me that I can't share the news in public. Believe me, I hate being told this more than you Gassers hate hearing this, but that's how it goes. But I did note here that it isn't because the Stones don't want him playing with them again, nor is it because MT doesn't wish to be playing with them again, either. So even thought I myself have been putting down the Stones of late for this flat out terrible tour schedule, (somebody tell Keith that they have fans in other places besides the Heartland), and for the bullshit, totally lazy way they are reissuing SF, but I am no longer blaming them for this MT deal, since it wasn't their decision. We can blame MJ all we want to for the insane way he and the band used and wasted MT on the last tour (and we did), but it appears this time it isn't MJ or anybody else s fault inside of the band. Wish I could say more, but I can't, and it was clear in the interview that MJ didn't note why either, and he knows why, but it isn't just because this is a new tour.
