Got to go all the way back to 1964 for my answer... Their first hit UK single and first number 1, "Little Red Rooster" was never released as a single in the US, to what I have to ask, why not?

They had several singles I never cared for, the first one would have been Bill's "In Another Land", never could understood why they released that one as a single. Yet "Downtown Suzie", which was a flat out excellent song of Bill's, wasn't even released until years after it was made (and never as a single), and then another song from the mid 60s of his, "Goodbye Girl", a very 60s sounding song, and a good one too, yet that song never got released at all.
