Sargeant peppers has always been my favorite lp since i was a kid.I rank it right up there with exile on mainstreet, the freewheelin,abbey road, and the velvet underground and nico and all the other supremely great musical creations.Yet i always thought the lp cover was alittle creepy,lol,interesting, and cool but creepy.Lately as i looked up the lp online afew times to read about its recording sessions i kept finding these web sites claiming that the cover is loaded with occult symbolism?If its true i dont care much frankly,i know crowley is on the cover,so what?Any thoughts? Are these bible thumpers still unfairly blaming the beatles for all that is wrong in the world?Although the beatles were all pretty good guys we know that the cuddly moptop image created by epstein in early beatlemania days was far from reality with them.Are they burying the old beatles on the cover,was it a strong paul is dead statement, is there some kind of occult connection,or maybe i have too much time on my hands?
