I guess for rock'n roll those numbers for the Stones were pretty decent, compared to lets say Alice Cooper's big album Billion Dollar Babies, which only went Platinum. However, Aerosmith's Toys in the Attic has been certified 12 x Platinum, which is a great commercial rock album, and Zepplein II has also been certified 12 x platinum. As good as the big 4 are, they just didn't have the same amount of Fm staples as these two or Back in Black did.
