...it reminds me of the iconic Stones album on that both are mostly culled from earlier works and the final cut of both albums feature a member no longer with the band, Endless River with the deceased Richard Wright, and TY with some content from Mick Taylor. Neither album is a straight run of new material by the band. At least that's what the reports of the soon to be released album would suggest.
But will Endless River be as legendary and beautiful as Tattoo You? That's a tall order. If it were it would be that great it would make for a real gift for Floyd's fans. But I won't get my hopes up that high. I'll settle for something that compares well to their lesser works, which will still make for good listening.
