Although he has undoubtedly missed out on millions of dollars in tour money, he also just as apparently happier than he was for a long time then when he as in the band, being able to be around his family, and enjoying himself playing with the Rhythm Kings, doing occasional small tours, and enjoying life in general.

Agreed. He made the choice that was right for him and I don't think he ever looked back. His Rhythm Kings are not the Stones, but I enjoy their music.
