I loved the Black Crowes. Yes, they were trying hard to be The Stones and every other band that they worshiped, but at that time I was just glad to see good old fashioned rock and roll again! They came around in the late 80's and I could not be more happy. IMO, 80's music sucked (as it has been well documented here). Their first album was awesome. Unfortunately, I was very disappointed when I saw them live. Not a good show. They had some good songs on their next few albums, but none of their albums were nearly as good as the first one. I thought they were "retired' already, too.
