You're missing some of what they covered... For starters: Hard Rock, then Psychedelic/space Rock, New Age, and New World Music. Hell, they did one of the first Goth Rock songs, too.
I'm sure there are other bands that have crossed as many genres, but I can't name one.
Gosh, there are many other bands that have done this. For starters, my second favorite band (Fabs) and third favorite band (Alice Cooper) have covered as many if not more genres than the Stones and they both weren't around for long periods of time. Even the Monkees covered most of the genres you noted, so for many bands, that isn't as important as is how they sound when they play different kinds of music. I think the bands that came out after the '60s are the ones that can't claim this, but 1960s bands were almost expected to cover lots of genres since the music was changing so fast and every band back then wanted a piece of whatever was new. THat's not to take anything from the Stones, the one thing the Stones did that most '60s bands didn't do, is they stayed together for over 50 years. How many other bands can claim that?
