I do not know if this has made your local paper, but I saw this trough a link on FARK:
At the high school in Danvers, Mass, some of the kids had started a little harmless thing when passing each other in the halls, of going 'MEEP!" to each other - just like Beaker of the Muppets. For some odd reason, the principal, or actually the ASSISTANT principal (and we all knw what THEY are like), thought this was some kind of threat to 'order', and...ACTUALLY BANNED THE KIDS FROM USING THE WORD 'MEEP'!!
Now, we have all seen this before, but for some reason this seems INSANELY petty and ridiculous. And there is a lawyer who also thought this. All I can say is, without directly things like emails and such, read this article, see what happened when she decided to do something, and the reaction of those involved. It is CLASSIC..
All I can say is that I did the same exact thing she did, and feel a MILLION times better for having done it! And for all of those who have experienced such malarkey, and/or who also might feel sorry for those kids who have had to experience this particularly idiotic piece of bullshit, I certainly would heartily recommend for all to do the same!
