he was an ACTOR, after all. A lousy one, but an actor nonetheless.
Here is where you're wrong - he was one of the greatest actors ever - even if he wasn't any good in any of his movies. The acting role he played as President for eight years was unreal, he should have won an Academy Award for each of those years he was in office. Like the current Bush, he didn't really run the country, he was just a figure head, but unlike Bush, Ronnie's acting fooled so many into thinking he was doing a good job.
I also believe it's not right to talk bad of the dead - unless we are talking about politicians, however, even with them, it's not cool to do so the first week or two after they die, other than pig Nixon, I actually had a few friends over the nite he croaked and we smoke a big fat joint in celebration. But one good thing I can and will say about President Reagan, at least he did believe in what he did, even if the men under him really ran things, he still understood what was going on - unlike the nut who is playing the part today.
