can't put it in "tecnical" terms for you, but I can say that Bill plays much more "lyrically" and "economically" than Daryl. Listen to songs like "Whip," "Imagination" and "Let it Bleed" from the '81 tour and then listen to them played with Darryl - it's night and day. Bill "made" those songs...Darryl just "plays them straight." Darryl has also somehow managed to "genericize" every Chuck Berry-style rocker so that they all sound the same. Neighbours, Starfucker and Little Queenie from recent tours - they are now all virtually indecipherable from one another.
