Towns along or near the Colorado–Wyoming border are spread across varying terrains, ranging from the busy Interstate 25 corridor to remote Rocky Mountain passes. The specific communities and their characteristics change significantly depending on how far west you travel. I'll make some notes for each area that is covered, down below.

US-85: 0.2 mi S of Wyoming Border: Looking South

| US-85 at the Wyoming border corresponds to northern Colorado in Weld County, just north of Nunn and near mile marker 309.35. At this exact stretch, US-85 transitions from a rural, two-lane highway into Wyoming. This area is susceptible to closures during winter storms or extreme high-wind events. |
WYO 230 at Colorado State Line - Looking South

| Wyoming Highway 230 crosses the Colorado state line in two distinct segments. The western segment becomes Colorado Highway 125, and the eastern segment connects to Larimer County Road 103 near Jelm Mountain. Both remote mountain passes are subject to rapid weather shifts and potential winter closures. |

Colorado/Wyoming border cam is located on Interstate 25, a crucial rural
stretch of the Rocky Mountain corridor between Fort Collins, Colorado
and Cheyenne Wyoming. This area is part of the elevated geographical
feature known as the "Cheyenne Ridge," which rises to over 6,000 feet
(1,829 meters).
