My theory on this is that Jean Luc Goddard is a no talent shithead who couldn't make a decent documentary if his life depended on it. So many bad shots in that film; instead of catching the music, they'll show Brian staring at his shoes or something...they could've put a lot more quality footage into that film, IMHO. And a documented version of the final take wouldn't have hurt, either.
