Sorry, Syph, I think this is a great song, however mistakenly arranged and abysmally recorded. It is incredible to think that such a poor-sounding product could be put out by a such a major band (imagine that today--oh wait, Voodoo Lounge sounds even worse--but you know what I mean), but I think the song itself is excellent, and the touches Steve T. points out are nice. Is it the tape speed making the warped sound in the intro? I thought he might be bending the neck or using a vibrato bar or sthg. The bridge is mad intense to me, all the "glimpse through the shadow, tear through the shadow" stuff. Anyway, it's a cool forerunner to "We Love You," a more overlooked, even better song.
