: Easy. He had two good years, 1956 and 1957. If he had died in a plane crash before he went to the army I might agree. But instead he went into a slow-motion nose-dive into kitsch and unconsciously horrifying self-parody. I'm afraid the 20 years of Vegas & bad movies removed him from the running for me.
Wha.....?? Everything that you mentioned is all part of what made him such a huge star. And this coming from you? The man who's band covered "Little Sister" so well, and who produced the film "Elvis the afterlife, the evidence"? Egad.
