Webster is a town in the northeastern corner of Monroe County, New York. The
population was 45,327 at the 2020 census. It's elevation is 442 feet (135 meters). It is located in the Rochester Metropolitan Area.
The town of Webster is bordered on the north by Lake Ontario, on the east by the towns of Ontario and Walworth in Wayne County, on the west by Irondequoit Bay and the town of Irondequoit, and on the south by the town of Penfield.
This city experiences warm, humid summers and long, freezing, and very snowy winters, thanks to its location near Lake Ontario, with lake-effect snow significantly boosting the town's winter snowfall totals to averaging 85 inches, with January being the snowiest month. Annual precipitation is around 35 to 39 inches (914 mm) of combined rain and snow.
