I think they all sound better in the Summer, particularly driving along a winding Country road, or on the beach with a cooler of cold ones on ice.
I do tend to think of 'Sticky Fingers' as a Summer album (though I play it year 'round), and that has nothing to do with it's release date. I know it came out in April of '71. I was just a boy and would not hear it until several years later anyway. I suppose I did hear Brown Sugar and Wild Horses on the radio in the Summer of '71. Maybe that is why I think of it as a Summer album.
Yes, MMR! The warm weather is upon us! I love this time of year. May and June are the best. Hot days with low humidity and the insects are minimal. The grass is once again a deep green and the flowers are in bloom. You should have seen the Dogwoods around here a couple weeks ago! Simply magical with their ivory and deep pink blooms. Makes me think there must be an artist up there somewhere! Simply breath taking!
The 'Ladies And Gentlemen...' Soundtrack is another Summer Stones listen, the more I think of it. It was HOT in TEXAS!
"Don't go down to Texxas...they'll fuck you up!" lol
Cheers, my guitar playin' brotha!
