There's good and bad in EVERY state. Considering that many of our states are a lot bigger than most European nations, you just can not generalize. I, for instance, have never--and could never--live more than two miles from the sea in my life. Thus, although I tend to agree with most of the expressed opinions about Alabama, I would rather live in Mobile than ANYWHERE in the American West. It all depends on your priorities.
