RE: RE: Best & worst States to live in the U.S ?

Ragged Company, you answered that the best, it does depend on the person and what they are into, as long as you don't count crime and weather.

I've been in every state other than Alaska (I WILL get there someday!) and Hawaii - where I was almost born, as my dad lived there for several years and wanted to go back just before my birth. But I'll never get there, unless they build a bridge first.

Of all the states I've been to, I live in the best one, for me anyway. I love the mountains here and hiking in them! Yes, back in NY where I was born they have mountains upstate, if you want to call them "mountains", but they look like small hills once you seen the Rockies. Colorado is only missing one thing, that is an ocean, I do miss that. But we have hot springs all around the state, and not only do I love to swim and soak in 'em, you can do so year-round. It is an interesting (yet wonderful) feeling swimming in a hot spring when it's snowing on you. The last thing I love about the west is the weather. It is dry and not at all humid, as it is back east and down south. 40°F in NY feels the same as zero feels here, and 95°F in NY feels like 110° there and here it feels like 85°! I actually left NY mainly because of that, the weather there is the worst in the nation.

Worst place to live - guess its Mississippi or Alabama. They just seem so backwards when it comes to so many things, people are not treated the same there, and I hear the cops in Mississippi are the worst anywhere in the US. Then on top of all that the weather there in the summer is terrible, I cannot handle hot and humid weather, hot and dry is bad enough for me.
