Again Brian, gotta disagree. I'd never tell anyone what they should or shouldn't like. But what disturbs me is when other people try to rationalize my (or anyone else's) tastes. I don't really care for A Bigger Bang. And it's not because I "like Keith records more," as you noted above, or because nothing compares to Exile.

I always find it funny anytime someone says they don't like the new record. IMMEDIATELY someone who likes it will say "Ohh you just don't like it cause you're living in the past, hoping they'll put out another Exile or Sticky Fingers." BULLSHIT. That's like me trying to tell someone who loves A Bigger Bang that the "only reason they like that record is because they're a fan of mediocre, going-through-the motions, uninspired Stones music."

Isn't OK to dislike something just because it sucks? Isn't that a good enough reason?

I love the Stones, but if they put out a clunker, I'm not gonna sit there and try to convince myself or anyone else that it's great. I'll pick out the bits and pieces of it that I like (This Place is Empty has grown on me, and I love Infamy and It Won't Take Long-but that's about it).

And I don't think even their duds are great....some are good. But even some of those you must not like either, if you're referring to them as "duds."

OK, I'm done for now....gotta go start listening to Exile for the 43rd time today.
