Well let’s see, in the ‘50s I didn’t really listen to rock, but more mellow music since I was so young and my parents were in control. The very first song I remember liking on my own was the 1959 song “The Old Lamp Lighter” by the Browns, who I guess was actually a country group.

I started to get into Buddy Holy a bit after that and then when the Beatles hit, well for years it was all rock ‘n roll for me. Because of my love for the Stones I got into the blues in the ‘70s and still love them today, and I got into county music in the ’80s after I deejay several country shows (not by choice). I also dig classical music a bit, too. But all in all, it is still rock music that gets me going more than anything else.
