I think that you really need to be in the right frame of mind to listen to "Beggars" since its a gentle country/acoustic album. I wouldnt listen to it first thing in the morning, say, unless the temperature was like 100 degrees or some shit. I prefer "Let It Bleed" & "fingers" since there's a more balanced mix of ballards & rockers. Nonetheless, "beggars" is fine recording. I just couldnt listen to it all the time tho. I feel that the Stones went down a bit in the mid-60's starting with "between the buttons" which was/is so-so, then "satanic majesties" which was, well..., & then finally with "beggars" they seemed to be entering a new phase in their artistic development which would culminate in their classic period. Much as I like "Beggars", I dont quite feel it matches their next 2 lp's, but then what do I know? Best track? Has to be "Stray Cat Blues". And believe me,buddy, "Parachute Woman" is NOT boring!!!
