: 30 years ago today Brian died. It just dosen't seem possible that it could be that long. I can remember seeing Brian on TV in the sixties playing guitar, sitar and recorder and vibes (to name a few) and thinking how cool he was to play these instruments. But truth is, his life was not cool. His life was too short and filled with problems, but in those 27 short years he made many of us fans smile. But no, life is not cool when it ends so tragically and for no good reason. I know you are at peace now Brian and that is cool. Many of us old Stones fans miss you, too bad the newer Stones fans never got to know you or understand how important you were to the band. You were the soul of the Stones, no question and the Stones did lose something that they never have been able to replace since you died.

When I was in London, I mentioned to a fellow fan taht I was planning on visiting Cheltenham to see where Brian was from. The response was "Who the fuck cares about Brian Jones?!?" Wish I'd had some of these posts to show that person.
