:8. Density. Every time I listen to this disc, I hear something new "buried" in the mix.

9. Feel. The sound is like you're sitting in a smoky blues bar. I used to think the sound quality on the
album was poor, but now I think the murky sound enhances the ambiance of the music.

Ventilator, you stole my thunder! I have to go forty-five min. to work at night, and I gave Exile its monthly required road-listen. Besides being the best Stones album, it's a great traveling album, louder the better. But, anyway, I was thinking the same thing about hearing something new each time. Tonight, it was the interesting guitar and bass lines on Hip Shake and Casino Boogie. The layers of sound on the album are unbelievable. Cool how the horns fit perfectly when they weren't even added in 'til later. Hard to believe that the same producer made them sound so artificial on GHS. I was thinking how nothing really before Exile or after it gives any real hint that the Stones would do an album with a sound and feel like Exile has.
