: Tomorrow Never Knows is one of the Beatles best tracks.

: Satanic Majesties was Decca's biggest seller ever when it came out. It was popular in 67, though since then it hasn't fared that well, and maybe it shouldn't. Sgt. Pepper probably influences more music, though today it would be indirectly more than obvious references.

: But from a prior post - how can anyone in 1999 not look at anything from a 99 perspective? If something is truly great, it's just great, and it's great all the time. I don't need to play Exile on a turntable or an 8 track to be blown away by it, nor do I need to smoke nasty old Mexican pot by the bucketful to enjoy Beggar's Banquet.

What I'm saying is who knows how music would have gone if that album never happened? I wouldn't want to fly on the Wright Bros. first successful airplane, but it sure as hell influenced every one from then on.
