Oh, I agree with you. Paul and John's solo careers are better than any of the Stones's..BUT I think that if the stones had done solo projects a little earlier on in their careers, they could have been great. Vocally, John does have a better voice. But Mick is a better performer, by far. His voice, by musical standards, is sub-par, but it just WORKS...no one else could have done it.
