The Stones are a greater band than the Beatles because they work together. Mick sings and writes lyrics, Keef writes music and plays guitars, Charlie drums, etc. The Beatles were more self reliant but since when is that essential for the greatness of a band. Simple fact is, the Stones could do anything the Beatles could and a lot that they couldn't do. That, and every Stone is a better musician than every Beatle.
