I went through school either liking gigantic sounds like Yes or ELP (and sometimes I still do), or The Buzzcocks, The Sex Pistols, The Ramones and a healthy dose of my local college radio station, which was kind enough to play the Generators and The Adults.

I had a friend who was a little greasy in school, but he was a huge Stones fan. He was the first person that ever showed me a bootleg lp, and I really liked those, even though they usually sounded like shit. But he kept getting greasier and greasier, and his teeth got greenier and greenier so I quit hanging out with him. At the time I think I had Sticky Fingers, but that was it. He had quite a nice collection and I figured I heard them enough over there. Besides, they were far too popular for my tastes - even my Mom liked them!

So flash to 1982 (after I passed on the opportunity to see the 81 tour) and I look at the record box one day and I've got like 13 Stones albums, and I'm wondering if they just mate in there or what? So I ended up getting the 3 lp boxed set from Hampton 81 and now I've got to kick myself for not going to see these guys that my Mom likes.

So now I've got about 19 years worth of Stones junk piled up around here, and apparently the end is nowhere in sight!
