Brian wanted to quit the band anyway; that's why he wasn't showing up at the studio. Yes, Mick T.left on his own but he was an outsider; he didn't fit in. Mick T. didn't leave the Stones over their drug use; he was dabbling in heroin when he left and later became seriously addicted. Both Brian & Mick T. weren't given enough credit or respect. You can have your own opinion about Ronnie, but I don't follow your point about them not wanting to give Ronnie the chance to leave; he can leave anytime and make it on his own.
