: I know we're all fans here, so I thought it might be fun to see something. The song "Tumbling Dice", in my opinion, is what the Stones were put on this earth to do. It is best representative of The Stones as a band. It is rich, layered, catchy, bluesy with hints of gospel, full of great lyrics and singing, a little Chuck-Berry riff here and there for good measure, some teriffic interplay between Keef and the great Mick Taylor and a fabulous back-beat by Mr. Watts. It is very arguably their best song on what is almost un-arguably their best album. I would like to know who out there sees this song as definitive, who sees this song as good and who could take it or leave it. Give it a listen if you want before you respond. I think the results will shed a lot of light onto what kind of fan you are...

yeah unarguably one of their best songs ,but that comment about exile unarguably being their best album....well i dont really agree with that.... second best maybe ,but beggars banquet is the real essence of the stones in my opinion, every song is amazing and it totally encapsulates the tension and weirdness in the air in 68(from what i can tell anyway,i wasnt around back then)
