I believe that "Exotica" is stuff like Esquivel (I hope I spelt that right). Space-Age cocktail music from the 1950's. Remember the scene in "Ed Wood" where they're having the wrap party in the meat locker and there's a guy in a turban playing the organ? That's Exotica.
