I think it had something to do with Kieth's "lifestyle changes" in the late '70s. He aged 20 years in a matter of months. And the years were not kind..
But back to the subject..my favorite K vocals are You Got the Silver, Before the Make Me Run, and Slippin' Away. If we count solo efforts, I'd include "Locked Away"..in fact, that might be my top pick.
