I think the "Kick me like you've kicked before, I can't even feel the pain no more" lyric is about heroin. Kicking and the lack of "pain" is just your typical drug refs. In turn, the Flush in, flush out part could be about shooting up too. I always thought that Keith getting his "Rocks Off" while he "sleeping" or "dreaming" was a reference to him being on the "nod" from dope. "Mesmerized" "Hypnotized" etc. - this is a Keith song and is about how much he's digging Heroin in 1971-72.
